Terms of Service

These terms cover the Taabik website at taabik.com and the Taabik mobile app. By creating an account or using Taabik you agree to them. If you do not, please do not use Taabik.

Who can use Taabik

You must be at least 13. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Taabik only with a parent or guardian's involvement. One person, one account, and the details on it should be true.

Your account

You are responsible for what happens on your account and for keeping access to your email secure, because a sign-in code sent there is enough to get in. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has used your account.

Your content stays yours

The trips, photos, captions and notes you add are yours. You keep every right you had in them.

So that Taabik can actually show them, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, copy, resize and display your content — only to operate and improve Taabik, and only as your privacy settings allow. A public profile is visible to anyone with the link; a private one is not. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already shared by others or held in routine backups until they expire.

We do not sell your content, and we do not use it to train advertising models.

What you may not do

These are the things that get content removed or an account closed:

• Posting content you do not have the rights to, including other people's photos.
• Harassment, threats, hate speech, or targeting someone on the basis of who they are.
• Sexual content involving minors, or any content that sexualises a child.
• Nudity or sexually explicit content, of anyone.
• Graphic or gory violence, or content that glorifies harm.
• Impersonating another person, or misrepresenting where you have been to game rankings.
• Posting someone else's private information, including their location.
• Spam, scraping, automated account creation, or scripted use of the service.
• Attempting to break, overload or probe the service, or to reach data that is not yours.
• Anything illegal where you are.

Reporting and enforcement

If you see something that breaks these rules, write to founders@taabik.com. We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks them, and we will tell you why and let you reply — unless the law, someone's safety, or an active investigation means we cannot. Serious cases, including anything involving a child, may be removed immediately and reported to the authorities.

Other people's content

Taabik shows trips and profiles created by other travellers. We do not check them in advance and we do not endorse them. Treat travel information as one person's experience, not advice — conditions, permits, access and safety change, and you are responsible for your own trip.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time from taabik.com/delete-account or in the app. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or if we have to for legal or security reasons. If we close Taabik itself, we will give reasonable notice and a way to take your data with you.

The service as it is

Taabik is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and accurate, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will preserve your content forever — keep your own copies of photos that matter. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to what you have paid us, which today is nothing.

Nothing here limits rights you have that cannot be limited, including consumer rights under the law where you live.

Changes

We may update these terms as Taabik changes. Material changes will be announced in the product or by email before they take effect, and the date above will move. Continuing to use Taabik after that means you accept the new terms.

Law and contact

Taabik is operated from India, and these terms are governed by Indian law, with the courts of India having jurisdiction — again, without taking away consumer rights you have at home.

This is a plain-language agreement, not legal advice. If Taabik takes payments or enters a new market, have it reviewed by a lawyer before relying on it there.
